Chilean-American actor/writer/producer, Nick Puga, was raised in Miami, FL where he began his career starring in commercials while studying at Florida International University. Nick’s first break came shortly after moving to Los Angeles, when after a nationwide search, he was cast to co-star with Christina Aguilera in a bilingual Coca-Cola campaign. He then turned heads with his dramatic portrayal of Tommy in the award-winning short Eating, which premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. His film credits include Steven Spielberg's The Terminal and Steven Soderburgh's Oceans 13, and he has appeared on hit television shows such as CBS's NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Fox's House, ABC's Apartment 23 and CW's Veronica Mars.

Nick's versatility has allowed him to be involved in a variety of projects: he garnered attention with his comedic music video PPL B TXT'N 2MUCH, which caught the eye of MTV execs and won several awards on the short film festival circuit, he lends his voice to the Adult Swim series Minoriteam, and has worked as a producer on several episodes of MTV's Emmy Award winning series True Life. Nick has also enjoyed success as a commercial actor; he has starred in over 100 national television commercials including several high profile Super Bowl ads and major national campaigns alongside the likes of Matthew Broderick, Dennis Haysbert, T-Pain, Glenn Dorsey, Nick Price, Bear Grylls, Jon Lovitz, and director Todd Phillips. Nick also starred in the major theatrical & television campaign for General Electric "Time Upon A Once" directed by Andreas Nilsson, who won the 2015 DGA award for Outstanding Achievement in Commercials that same year. Most recently, Nick is voicing a new animated series for Disney, developing new projects, and continuing to search for gratifying feature film opportunities.

Diego Diaz in the feature film After the Wedding is Nick’s debut starring role in a feature film.

WHAT FILMMAKERS ARE SAYING...

"Working with Nick Puga on my feature film 'After the Wedding' was a dream as a director. He not only physically transformed himself for the role of 'Diego,' but did plenty of emotional preparation as well. Once on set, because of his preparedness, we were able to move rather quickly given our many our many production constraints. As an actor he is intuitive, sensitive, funny and professional. He's also tremendously down-to-earth and a team player, which helped on a small production like ours. I truly look forward to having the opportunity to work with him again!"

"Having worked with Nick for twelve years on various projects, I continue to be surprised by his ability to understand and dissect both story and character within my writing, an ability that most actors do not possess. He makes acting look easy and it's his natural cognition that improves the overall quality of the project and that's why I continue to attach him to everything I direct."

"Working with Nick is a joy because he is both a very professional actor who wants to incarnate the director's vision and an active collaborator, who sees the project from the creator's perspective. He gave me the impetus to make my film, found an excellent comedic actress to be his co-star and gave all his energy to make every moment on set run smoothly. I can only hope that life will allow us to keep making films together that will make the whole world laugh. Nick's wit, hard work and wonderful attitude are priceless."
